ONE week after Phnom Penh Municipality issued a statement announcing its plan to ban tuk-tuks and motorbike-pulled trailers from Norodom Boulevard, police officials on Wednesday began informing drivers about the ban, prompting concern from some who said they were being unfairly targeted.

Luos Seyha, director of the Cambodian Association for Informal Economy Development, which represents tuk-tuk drivers, said he supported the July 23 City Hall statement, but questioned why the ban was not also being applied to larger vehicles.

"We support City Hall's idea because it is to promote safety and public order in the city," he said.

"But not only tuk-tuks cause disorder. There are other kinds of big vehicles that cause such problems, too."

Prak Touch, a 45-year-old tuk-tuk driver, said Wednesday that police had stopped him that morning on Norodom Boulevard and instructed him that he would soon be banned from the road.

1) The website url: It should relate to the site content, though not mandatory, in any case.

2) The page title: The page tile should be descriptive and a brief reflection of the content of the page and not just the site name or no title at all! Do not make it too big, otherwise GoogleBOT will take it as negative.

3) Meta Tags :

The keyword should not be more than, I think, 25 to 30 words. Also try not to use single word but a phrase of two to three words. Think, what users can type in the search box and select your keywords accordingly. People, usually, do not type a single word in the search box. Do not repeat the same word again and again as that will definitely go against you. GoogleBot is intelligent enough to pick-up your intention. Description: Description should be the summary of your page content. It is againn must not be too lengthy. It should contain keywords as well ....

An American man has become the most recent person to be stricken with the AH1N1 virus, taking the number of confirmed cases in Cambodia to nine, said Ly Sovann, deputy director of the Ministry of Health's Communicable Diseases Control Department.

Ly Sovann said the 34-year-old, who works and lives in Cambodia, tested positive for the virus on Thursday. Health officials said they suspected he contracted the virus after he returned from Bangkok last week. "He is fine now and is staying at his home in Phnom Penh," Ly Sovann told the Post Sunday. He said the 15-year-old Australian girl who tested positive for the virus last week had been released from Calmette Hospital on Saturday.

WITH dancing and drumming, pigeons and postage stamps, soldiers and civilians gathered at Preah Vihear temple and in Phnom Penh on Tuesday to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the temple's inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

In Preah Vihear, the festivities began early, with a group of about 60 Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) soldiers - bearing rocket launchers, AK-47s and automatic weapons - gathering at the top of the temple at 7:30am. They stood at attention as commanders instructed them to protect the temple and, in turn, the Kingdom's heritage.

As the soldiers stood guard, RCAF generals including Hing Bun Heang presided over a morning ceremony, during which provincial and military officials released seven pigeons as well as balloons bearing the date of the inscription. Attendees were then treated to a traditional dance performance.

Though UNESCO's decision to accept Cambodia's World Heritage site application last July led to a year of heightened tension near the temple, 10 Thai soldiers stationed on the mountain's pagoda said Tuesday that the pageantry of the anniversary celebrations did not bother them.

Supporters of Honduran President Manuel Zelaya clash with riot police as their ousted leader seeks to gather international support.

A demonstrator lies in the street during clashes between supporters of ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya and riot police and soldiers in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, on Monday. Zelaya is to address the UN General Assembly this week as member states have roundly condemned the coup.

TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras - Mobilising international support, ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya vowed to return to Honduras as angry supporters clashed with riot police near the presidential palace here.

Zelaya told a meeting of regional leaders in the Nicaraguan capital Managua he planned to travel Tuesday to Washington, where US President Barack Obama has denounced the coup as illegal, and to New York to speak before the UN General Assembly.

"I go to Tegucigalpa on Thursday," Zelaya said, setting up a potentially explosive showdown with the newly installed administration of congressional leader Roberto Micheletti.

Zelaya also accepted the offer of Jose Miguel Insulza, the head of the Organisation of American States, to accompany him back to Honduras, along with leaders of other friendly countries who may wish to travel with him.
